We’re a group of Atlassian users who set out to make our own lives easier, then realized we could create a business out of doing the same for others.
We initially developed apps to automate repetitive manual tasks that were part of our day job. We shared our fixes with fellow users experiencing the same problems. Word spread, and we were soon so popular it became our full-time jobs.
Unlike many startups, CollabSoft’s culture was never about pursuing unlimited growth and working ourselves to the bone with the ambition of selling the company to the highest bidder.
Our company decisions aren’t driven by money. That’s why we’ve never accepted external funding. Investors don’t care about happiness; they want to minimise costs.
CollabSoft’s goal is to achieve a zero-stress work environment. We believe work should add substance to our lives, not be the epicenter of our existence.
Silos create inefficiencies that lead to unhappiness. That’s why we focus on integrating Jira and Confluence with 3rd-party apps. This breaks silos, enables manual processes to be automated, and facilitates deeper collaboration across different tools and teams.
Our flagship apps: Figma for Confluence and Jira, simplify design handoff and design documentation, improving collaboration between designers and developers.
As the founder of CollabSoft, Remie is responsible for most of the back-end development.
When he's not working on our apps, he's helping on one of his open source projects to benefit other developers on the Atlassian Marketplace.
However, his primary occupation is being a stay-at-home dad of two. All coding occurs between school runs, play dates, dentist appointments, and trips to playgrounds and the beach.
For over 5 years, Jonas has been a steady force at CollabSoft, helping out with customer support, quality assurance, and new ideas for both our Atlassian and Monday.com apps. He is dedicated to making sure the apps run smoothly and support requests are resolved swiftly.
A keen traveler, Jonas loves discovering new foods and wildlife, and hates places with shitty food and no nature (and is therefore wondering whether he should emigrate from the Netherlands).
He’s currently planning a roadtrip in a 4x4 tented car through national parks in Namibia and Botswana.
Jari drives the evolution of our apps and leads all UI/UX design initiatives. His creative vision has been the catalyst for our most innovative and impactful releases.
Jari’s current focus is making our flagship apps, Figma for Confluence and Jira, even more useful to designers and developers than they already are.
At the start of his career, all Jari wanted was to create iPod Touch icons, so his ambitions have grown a bit. He spends his spare time ogling figures of 8 and buying black and white T-shirts in bulk.
A huge fan of helping software teams get the attention they deserve, Chris believes business apps need a UX so easy to understand that no documentation is required.
At CollabSoft, he’s focused on app growth and making Figma for Confluence and Jira the best they can be. He’s also looking for developers with great app ideas to join CollabSoft as more than just employees.
In his limited spare time, he has a stand-up comedy club in Bangkok, plays poker with unnerving skill, and loves a good Dungeons and Dragons one-shot.
A specialist in writing content for tech companies, Berry believes all tech should just work (and is very impatient when it doesn’t).
As CollabSoft’s resident thought leader, he spearheads our content strategy and pens all the pieces on our blog.
Berry is a big Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who nerd, an explorer of beautiful landscapes, and loves theme parks and Christmas. Between 2020 and 2023, he published a sci-fi conspiracy thriller trilogy called Million Eyes to rave reviews.
The creative force behind CollabSoft’s branding and design, Claire’s fun and vibrant style has been garnering attention within the Atlassian ecosystem for years.
An obsessive houseplant collector and crazy cat mum to Maurice, Claire loves living by the sea and is often found walking the coast in search of a sunset or attempting to paddleboard.
Currently regretting renovating her house, she is constantly searching for interior design inspiration… or watching cat videos.
